Pennsylvania Governor’s School for the Sciences
Posted on November 11, 2024
The Pennsylvania Governor’s School for the Sciences is a 5-week academic residency program for rising high school seniors in
Pennsylvania. Students live on campus at Carnegie Mellon University while taking courses in math, physical and natural sciences, and
computer science from university professors. Students are challenged in lectures, labs, and research projects. The program is funded
through charitable donations, grants, and sponsorships. It completely free for the students – there is no tuition, and room and board are provided. For many, PGSS is a life-changing experience where they form lifelong friendships and lay the foundation for their future careers. The 2025 Program will run from June 22 – July 26.
Applications open in October and are accepted through January 31.
