The Manheim Township Board of School Directors is seeking community feedback regarding proposed improvements to the district’s athletic facilities. This survey is an important opportunity for the community to share their thoughts on the potential athletic upgrades. Your input will be used to help guide the plans and final recommendations to our school board.
Survey Details:
- Open from: January 24, 2025, to February 12, 2025
- Purpose: The School Board is exploring what improvements are possible and important to the community. At this stage, specific costs are not available.
- Next Steps:
- Save the Date! A Community Forum is scheduled for February 12, 2025 at 5:30pm at the Middle School. There will be an opportunity to view detailed drawings and to hear a presentation regarding the proposed projects. More details to come!
- Estimated costs will be discussed during the School Board Work session on February 13, 2025.
This survey is part of the early planning phase, designed to collect feedback from families and community members about their interests and priorities regarding the proposed projects. The proposed projects include improvements to athletic facilities and the creation of a new indoor training facility.
Proposed Athletic Facilities Upgrades:
- New Home Team Locker Rooms – including showers, a meeting room, and restrooms
- Updated and additional public restrooms at the stadium
- Field House Facility – with classroom/meeting space, separate athletic training and game official rooms, concessions, and alumni facilities
- Journey Field Upgrades – including lighting, expanded bleachers, locker rooms, concessions, and a press box
- Softball Facility Improvements – including irrigation, bleacher/seating upgrades, concessions, and a new press box
- Baseball Facility Improvements – including irrigation, upgraded press box, concessions, and storage
- Stadium – new home bleachers, decks, ramps, steps, pressbox
- Additional parking near the stadium
Proposed New Indoor Training Facility:
- New Fitness Center
- Indoor practice field for athletics, physical education, and extracurricular activities

The feedback gathered will be critical in determining the final version of the plans, ensuring the improvements reflect the needs and priorities of the community.
