During the October 17th School Board Meeting, Dr. Dale Reimann was appointed as the Acting Superintendent effective December 16, 2024. Dr. Reimann has been the Assistant Superintendent for Manheim Township School District since July 1, 2016. 

The role of an Acting Superintendent is to provide a smooth transition from a former Superintendent to a new Superintendent.  The Acting Superintendent continues to implement the current district plan and vision until a permanent Superintendent is in place. We’re grateful for Dr. Reimann’s willingness to operate in this capacity during the transition period.

The School Board will soon be interviewing search firms in order to select an organization that will facilitate the process for allowing the Board to identify the next Superintendent for Manheim Township School District. During the November 14, 2024 Board Work Session, the School Board will be sharing feedback about the firms interviewed in preparation for their selection (of a firm) at the November 21 Board Meeting.

Once the Board selects the search firm in November, the organization will be establishing mechanisms for obtaining input about the superintendent search from staff, families and other stakeholders. 

The firm will also work with the district in providing updates on the superintendent search process. These updates will be posted on our district website at the link titled Superintendent Search.
