As the school year comes to a close, we want to take a moment to wish you and your family a safe and healthy summer. Before the summer fun officially begins, we would like to share some important information and highlight a few save the date events that you won’t want to miss.
Summer Eats Program
Summer meals are provided free of charge to children 18 years of age and under. No registration or ID required. MT Summer Meal sites: Bucher Elementary (450 Candlewyck Rd) and Schaeffer Elementary (875 Pleasure Rd), and Nitrauer Elementary (811 Ashbourne Ave). Click here for more information about the program.
Power Packs Summer Program
Power Packs Project is available for students over the summer months! Distribution will be held at Bucher Elementary School and Schaeffer Elementary School on Wednesday’s from 12pm-1pm. This program is being held in addition to our Summer Feeding Program. Visit www.powerpacksproject.org to sign up to receive healthy meals for your family.

Join us for a Back to School event at Clipper Magazine Stadium hosted by Representative Mike Sturla and Representative Ismail Smith-Wade-El’s office on Sunday, August 18, 2024 from 12:00-4:00 pm. This event is open to MTSD K-8 families. Registration is required and can be done by clicking here. - MTSD Kick off and Literacy Fest
Join us on August 20, 2024 from 6:30 – 8:00 PM at Manheim Township High School Stadium for our K-12 Fall Kick-off & Literacy Fest. Meet the Blue Streak athletic and performance teams, enjoy face painting, an Instrument petting zoo, free book, reading under the lights, and a free pretzel with other refreshments available for purchase. Start the school year with family fun and a love for literacy!
