Dear Manheim Township Families and Community Members:
This past school year, a large steering committee made up of parents, staff, community members, and students engaged in the strategic planning process to develop a new district level and nine (9) school level Comprehensive Plans; the process is required every three years by the PA Department of Education. The new, proposed district level Comprehensive Plan holds the goals, action steps, and assessment measures that will guide the Manheim Township School District through the next three school years (2022/23; 2023/24; and 2024/25) – commencing August 2022 and ending June 2025. The goals align with those established by each of the nine schools.
The Comprehensive Plan review process also includes a review of the following additional state required reports (you can access the documents by clicking on each item):
As per the process, the PA Department of Education requires the district level Comprehensive Plan and the related state required reports to be available for public review and comment for 28 days.
Therefore, beginning on Wednesday, July 6, paper copies of the proposed plan and public comment forms are available at the Manheim Township School District Administrative Office from 7:30am-4:00pm (Monday-Friday), and at the Manheim Township Public Library during the hours found here. The district is also providing a digital review of the proposed plan here.
A final version of the district Comprehensive Plan will be submitted to the Manheim Township Board of School Directors for approval at the Board Meeting on Thursday, August 18. The Comprehensive Plan will then be submitted to the PA Department of Education prior to the August 30, 2022, deadline.
Thank you in advance for taking the time to review our proposed Comprehensive Plan and offer feedback. We value input from all stakeholders and welcome your comments.
