We are updating you today to communicate about two important topics: (1) iPad distribution for students in grades K through 6, and (2) students/families picking up student belongings/property from school.
I. PICKING UP PERSONAL PROPERTY/BELONGINGS
For Students in Grades K through 4:
If you need to pick up an essential personal item from your child’s classroom that was left in school, please contact your child’s principal via email message to the building principal in order to make arrangements to do so. Please note that students are not to take home library books, their My Math workbook, or theirStorytown book.

For Students in Grades 5 and 6:
Dear LRIS Parents and Guardians,
We hope that this letter finds you and your family healthy and safe. We would like to allow students an opportunity to retrieve any needed belongings that may still be in their lockers.
In an effort to minimize traffic in our buildings and follow social distancing protocols, we are limiting access to the building to fifteen minute increments for Landis Run students only. Landis Run will open the building on Wednesday 4/1 from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm, to retrieve any personal belongings your student needs from his/her locker (backpack, jackets, binder, instruments, etc.).
All students should enter through the main entrance of the building. As safety remains our number one concern for students, we ask that all visitors practice appropriate social distancing both inside and outside district buildings (i.e., parking lots, drop/pickup loops). For Students in Grades 7 through 12:
Dear MTMS/MTHS Parents and Guardians:
We hope that this letter finds you and your family healthy and safe. The purpose of this communication is to share the plan that will allow students an opportunity to retrieve any needed belongings that may still be in locker(s) or in the building.
We will be opening our buildings to students on Tuesday 3/31 and Wednesday 4/1 from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm to retrieve any belongings that your student needs that are currently in his/her locker (iPads, textbooks, instruments, athletic items, personal belongings, etc.).
- All students must enter and exit through the main entrances of the buildings. Safety remains our number one concern for students.
- We ask that all visitors practice appropriate social distancing both inside and outside district buildings (i.e. parking lots, drop-off/pick-up loops).
- In an effort to minimize traffic in our buildings and to follow social distancing protocols, we are limiting access to 10 students per building in 15-minute increments. Only students will be permitted to enter the buildings. Please use the appropriate Sign Up Genius link below.

II. iPad DISTRIBUTION, K-6:
Below you will find charts of schedules for when iPad pickups can be completed at each of our K-4 buildings, and Landis Run Intermediate School. There are more specific instructions for “what to do” when arriving to pick up your iPad listed below, specifically, by building.

iPad pick up at Brecht Elementary:
At your assigned iPad pick-up time, please pull into the car rider loop and drive all the way to the stop sign at the end of the loop. To expedite this distribution process, please write your child(ren)’s first and last names on a piece of paper and clearly display it on your dashboard. If necessary, an MTSD staff member will approach your car to get your child’s name. Please remain in your vehicle until the MTSD staff member delivers your child’s iPad and charger.
iPad pick up at Bucher Elementary:
At your assigned iPad pick-up time, please pull into the car rider loop and drive all the way to the designated sign at the end of the loop. To expedite this distribution process, please have your yellow car rider sign with you in your window or write your child(ren)’s first and last names on a piece of paper and clearly display it on your dashboard. If necessary, an MTSD staff member will approach your car to get your child’s name. Please remain in your vehicle until the MTSD
staff member delivers your child’s iPad and charger. If you are walking, please arrive during your assigned time. You should report to the walker (garden door) to meet an MTSD staff member. You will provide your child’s name, and remain at the garden door until the MTSD staff member delivers your child’s iPad and charger.
iPad pick up at Neff Elementary:
At your assigned iPad pick-up time, please pull into the bus loop area to the main entrance. Please stay in your car. If you have a car rider sign, please display it on your dashboard. If not, you are welcome to create your own sign or just provide your child’s name. If necessary, an MTSD staff member will approach your car to get your child’s name. Please remain in your vehicle until the MTSD staff member delivers your child’s iPad, charger, and any forms necessary to complete and sign.
iPad pick up at Nitrauer Elementary:
At your assigned time, please pull up in front of the school and drive all the way to the end of the sidewalk to the stop sign. You will be in line like the buses are in the afternoon. Please stay in your car. If you are able to do so, please write your child’s first and last name on a piece of paper and put it on the dashboard or be ready to simply say your child’s name. An MTSD staff member will approach your car and ask your child’s name. Please remain in your vehicle until the MTSD staff member delivers your child’s iPad, charger, and possible forms to complete.
iPad pick up at Reidenbaugh Elementary:
At your assigned iPad pick-up time, please pull into the car rider loop and drive all the way to the sign at the end of the loop. Please stay in your car. To expedite this distribution process, please write your child(ren)’s first and last names on a piece of paper and clearly display it on your dashboard. If necessary, an MTSD staff member will approach your car to get your child’s name. Please remain in your vehicle until the MTSD staff member delivers your child’s iPad, charger, and any forms necessary to complete and sign.
iPad pick up at Schaeffer Elementary:
At your assigned time, please pull up in front of the school and drive all the way to the end of the bus loop. If you have a car rider sign, please display it on your dashboard. If not, you are welcome to create your own sign or just provide your child’s name. An MTSD staff member will approach your car to ask for your child’s name. Please remain in your vehicle until the MTSD staff member delivers your child’s iPad, charger, and possible forms to complete.
iPad pick up at Landis Run Intermediate School:
At your assigned iPad pick-up time, please pull into the bus loop area in front of the main entrance. Please stay in your car. To help expedite the iPad distribution process, please write your child(ren)’s first and last name, as well as their Homeroom teacher, on a piece of paper and clearly display it on your car’s dashboard. If necessary, an MTSD staff member will approach your car to get your child’s name. Please remain in your vehicle until the MTSD staff member delivers your child’s iPad, charger, and packet of information. If you have two or more children at Landis Run, please pick a team time slot that suits your schedule best and MTSD staff will coordinate to distribute all materials needed.
