Dear Neff Families,

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving with family and friends! It was great to see you at school for conferences. If you haven’t done so yet, take a few minutes to talk with your child about his or her conference. Sharing some of the things you talked about with your child’s teacher sends the message that you are involved and care about what he or she is doing at school. We all have areas that we can work on to improve. Help your child understand what that might be for him or her. Talk about steps that can be taken to work towards improvement. Be proud of your child’s accomplishments and let him or her know it!

Our November PRIDE students of the month were recognized for being Involved. When kids are involved they have their minds and bodies focused at all time and are self-aware. Congratulations to the following students:

Adellae Heagy                      Xavier Reinking                   Calvin Gilchrist

Libby Hammond                  Ella Groff                               Raelynn Rosario

Ryan Rothacker                   Rebecca Snitzer                   Chelsea Cao

Spencer Stevens                   Olivia Deneen                       Ella Byrne

Andrew Meckley                 Maya Tate                             Keegan Moore

Cold weather is approaching! Our goal is to be able to have students go outside for recess when possible. We know that kids benefit from exercise and fresh air. Please be sure to send your child to school with a coat, hat, gloves, etc. so he or she can enjoy recess time. However, there are times when we keep students inside if the weather is too wet or cold. When the “feels like” temperature is 15° or below students will have indoor recess. If the “feels like” temperature is between 16° – 20°, students may go out or we may have a modified recess where they are outside for part of the recess time. If the “feels like” temperature is over 20°, there will be outdoor recess.

Thanks as always for your continued support as we work together to help your child reach his or her potential!

Sincerely,

Travis Bash

Principal
